Without even noticing, holiday music seems to slip into our favourite radio stations, retail stores and then right into our subconscious.
Soon we catch ourselves humming seasonal jingles well in advance of the holidays. It does however bring a smile to our faces and a warm feeling to our hearts.

This time of year everyone seems to have a glow in their cheeks (perhaps from the temperature outside) and a smile on their face. With all of the smiling and photo opportunities that are just around the corner, perhaps it's time to give yourself a gift.

A brighter, whiter smile may offer you more reasons to smile this holiday season. Speak to us during your next visit or call us for our tooth whitening holiday special. We'd love to hear from you.

So you were in a hurry, you picked up your mouthwash and had a quick rinse before you left the house, that's as good as brushing ...right? WRONG!

Mouthwashes are effective at masking bad breath and as effective as rinsing with water with regards to removing surface particles.

Don't get me wrong, I like to rinse with my favourite minty wash before I head out for the day, but it is no substitute for brushing and flossing.

In fact, a mouthwash is most effective right after a good brush and floss as it rinses away anything that was loosened and kills bacteria that still remain behind.

Remember years ago, when you'd visit your dentist and find out that you had a cavity even though you couldn't see it. You'd schedule an appointment to have it filled and return a week or so later. On your return visit the doctor would fill your tooth and prevent the future problems that could arise from a growing cavity. Then upon looking in a mirror you'd noticed that there was an awful looking silver filling, you almost wished it was still the cavity that you couldn't see.

These metallic filling were standard practice until not so long ago. While these fillings were often unattractive to begin with, over time, the material which makes up the filling corrodes and leaks which blackens the silver, and many times the tooth.

If you're embarrassed and tired of hiding your smile, talk to us about Composite fillings.

A question I am frequently asked is; do I accept new patients?

OF COURSE I DO!

I consider it the highest form of compliment when my patients refer their friends and family. My practice is built on word of mouth, and I appreciate every referral I am presented with.

"There's no question that I have the best patients on the entire planet."
