Veneers are custom, porcelain facings that are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. They are made to match the shape and size of your mouth and created at the whiteness level that you desire.

Our patient Chris was looking to spruce up his smile. Have a look at the results that can be achieved using veneers!

Many of us have come to rely on energy drinks for an extra boost but have you considered their effect on your smile?

These drinks can be very damaging to tooth enamel due to their ability to decalcify (or dissolve) the enamel, which is critical for maintaining the strength of the tooth.

What are the risks associated with energy drinks?
Energy drinks contain corrosive acids. These acids leach minerals out of your tooth's enamel. Enamel is the cover that protects the visible part of your teeth. Once your enamel is gone it does not regenerate. These problems are heightened for teens and adolescents because their teeth are not fully matured and therefore not as resistant to these acid attacks.

A misconception about avocado is that they are "fattening". While it is true the most of the calories in an avocado come from fat, they are the good fats that your body needs.

The healthy omega 3 oils in avocados are essential to our body and our cells. In this case they body actually utilizes these fatty acids for energy (as opposed to storage). Avocados are also rich in potassium, B vitamins with have trace amounts of protein making them nourishing and filling.

With patio weather returning to the city, you may find yourself entertaining or as a guest looking for something to bring to the table. Before you reach for chips and dip we have a suggestion that is sure to be a hit ...Wholly Guacamole!

Guacamole is a staple that you really can't go wrong with. As a dip it can be healthy, nourishing and delicious all at the same time. While this recipe from fullynourished.ca adds protein from peas, you can adjust the recipe to your taste.
